Portrait of Mayank Parmar

Background & Vision

Mr. Parmar graduated from Temple University with a B.S. in Bioengineering and was eager to start his career with one goal: improving healthcare and medicine for patients and their families. In summer of 2017, he became PSI's first employee, sharing the company's core principles and values. His personal motivation stems from witnessing the impact healthcare had on his father, who underwent a total knee replacement under Dr. Parvizi's care. That positive outcome demonstrated to Mr. Parmar the profound impact that medicine and healthcare can have on patients and their loved ones.

First Project: Surgiphor

Mr. Parmar's first project at PSI was managing the development of Surgiphor, the first-ever Sterile Povidone-Iodine based surgical irrigation solution, which is now used in orthopedic surgeries. This project provided a comprehensive learning experience spanning from concept development to regulatory clearance, including formulation/design development, manufacturing process implementation, quality documentation, and regulatory testing. Through this challenging and rewarding project, Mr. Parmar developed the skills necessary to translate healthcare innovations from concept to reality.

Outside of Work

Outside of his time at PSI, Mr. Parmar enjoys exercising, discovering great food, spending time with friends and family, and working on cars.
